We’re here for any event in life.
Whether you are celebrating or mourning; taking a step in your faith journey, or wanting to grow in your marriage, we are here for you!
Baby or child dedication is a ceremony we have in our services where parents make a public commitment to do their part in nurturing their child spiritually in a home where faith will be a priority. It is also a celebration of the child’s life with an opportunity to pray a blessing over the child and his or her future.
Two times a year (Spring & Fall) we offer a 4 week course we called Prepare to Last. It includes teaching on different aspects of marriage and engaging discussions with a Mentor Couple that will help you prepare for a healthy dynamic marriage relationship. At the conclusion of the course there is also a private session with the Mentor Couple whom the engaged couple has gotten to know over the 4 weeks. To register for the course or for more information see contact below.
Marriage Small Groups
During our 10 week Small Group experiences we host Marriage Small Groups to help couples build strong marriages and connect with other couples who are in similar life stages. Register by emailing contact below.
If you are a regular attender at Riverwood Church, the pastors here would be honoured to perform your wedding ceremony. We desire for you and your future spouse to have a lifelong, fulfilling marriage and for this reason one requirement to be married by our pastors is that you participate in the Prepare to Last course. Once you register for the spring or fall course, and are interested in requesting a Riverwood Pastor to officiate your wedding ceremony or to rent one of our venues, contact us.
The death of someone you love ushers in a cascade of complex emotions, and planning a funeral or memorial service to honor, remember, and celebrate loved ones can feel overwhelming. We are here to provide support, comfort and to help you design a meaningful commemoration and celebration of your loved one’s life. To begin planning and to arrange for one of our pastors to lead the service, contact Pastor Carolyn
